5 Insights for Restoring Your Health and Fitness Now!

Over the years, I have consistently heard testimonies about how the concepts I teach are just as effective for improving various aspects of one’s personal life as they are in helping one achieve success and fulfillment at work. I absolutely love to hear these stories of triumph over the past and I’m sure my readers get a boost of energy and motivation from them just as I do. In this post, I’d like to share one of my own victory stories, having to do with physical fitness, which has been an area that I have personally struggled with for as long as I can remember. I’m sharing this not to push a certain diet or exercise routine, but rather to energize and mobilize you to pursue whatever path suits you best when it comes to restoring or maintaining your fitness. And I’m sharing this with you because, if I can claim such a victory after what seems like a lifetime of struggling, there’s nothing to stop you from doing the same by pursuing your goal with intentionality and rigor. Remember that it is not knowing what to do, but doing what you know, that makes all the difference I the end.

Overwhelmed? Try this!

Have you ever had one of those days, or at least one of those moments, when you knew exactly what to do to solve a problem or make something happen and perhaps even knew how to do it, but you just didn’t feel like doing it? If you’re like me, the internal dialogue in your head usually shifts into overdrive during such times, debating every little detail of whether you should get in action or not and leaving you in a state of “analysis paralysis.” Don’t you wish you could defeat that little voice in your head that’s always talking you out of doing extraordinary things? Or better yet, instead of wasting time and energy defeating it, wouldn’t it be great if you could learn to just ignore it and get going anyway? And I don’t mean that you get going anyway when you feel like it; I mean you get going anyway whether or not you feel like it at the time. Well, I have good news for you. There is a way. Even when you feel physically tired and mentally beaten down, there is a way to make the quantum leap from how you feel right now to how you would be feeling if you were where you wanted to be. How do you do that? You re-generate yourself. The even better news is that you can do this on demand and it takes less than one minute.

Feeling stuck? This question will get you moving forward.

Have you ever found yourself stuck and unable to break through to the next level of performance or fulfillment? I believe it is safe to say we have all been there. No matter how awesome you are at what you do, if you are up to something big and you’re stretching yourself to increase your influence and create extraordinary results and fulfillment for yourself and others, there will come a time when you are faced with seemingly insurmountable barriers. People or events whose negative impact you don’t seem to be able to mitigate will persistently bog you down. The only question that matters at this point is whether you remain stuck and give up, or whether you figure out a way to move forward despite the obstacles and continue making the kind of progress you want to make.

The Compounding Effect of Transformative Realizations

Those of you who follow my blog or other posts on social media may have heard about our upcoming workshop retreat. You may have noticed that my team and I are very excited about it whenever we bring it up. Well, this is the week it happens. In fact, on the day this post is published, we will be at Serenbe Farms with 15 leaders, from six companies across six states, who have chosen to invest a day in themselves on behalf of their organizations through their pursuit of the goal of Transformative Leadership. The trust that these participants have placed in us is humbling and my team and I have been working tirelessly to ensure an extraordinary experience for them. It is our goal that they leave the event equipped with both the mindset and the knowledge to serve and lead others more effectively than they previously thought possible, enabling them to experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from making a greater difference in their organizations and communities.
