About this Episode:

In this episode of The Transformative Leader Podcast, I’m happy to bring you a conversation with Sid Garza-Hillman about how to be consistent and successful in taking the small steps to truly achieve health and happiness in our lives. He shares a great deal of wisdom from his most recent book, Six Truths. As a nutritionist and athlete, Sid also tells us what works and what doesn't when it comes to getting proper nutrition or embarking on a lifestyle change.

Sid’s philosophy is that the closer we get to what is natural for us as a species, the better we live, even in the context of the modern world. Through his unique brand of small steps, he teaches clients and listeners how to include more of what is natural to them in ways that are minimally stressful, and result in true, sustainable change over time. Those who follow Sid’s approach learn how to better negotiate the modern world stresses with greater balance, joy, and a feeling of being grounded.

Sid Garza-Hillman is a writer, nutritionist, podcaster, and YouTuber who helps people truly take control of their lives through his unique Small Steps philosophy. Sid is the author of Approaching the Natural: A Health Manifesto and Raising Healthy Parents: Small Steps, Less Stress, and a Thriving Family. His approach is the exact opposite of quick fixes, diets, and exercise DVDs, focusing rather on long-term, sustainable change, and increased self-esteem and confidence in the process.

Sid holds a BA in Philosophy from UCLA, is a public speaker, host of the What Sid Thinks Podcast, certified nutritionist & running coach, and founder of smallsteppers.com. He is the Stanford Inn Eco-Resort’s Wellness Programs Director, co-creator (with No Meat Athlete, Matt Frazier) of Health Made Simple, and Race Director of the Mendocino Coast 50K trail ultramarathon
