About this Episode:

In this episode of the Transformative Leader Podcast, I’m happy to bring you a conversation with author and speaker, Jeff Bloomfield, about what leaders can learn from the neuroscience of trust, influence, communication, and transformation. Jeff is the founder and CEO of BrainTrust and the best selling business author of NeuroSelling® and Story Based Selling. Jeff’s mission is to teach others the biology, psychology and physiology of the brain and how to apply those learnings in a simple and understandable way to be more impactful communicators.

As a former sales & marketing executive, farm boy, and cancer survivor, Jeff Bloomfield uses his inspiring style and compelling life story to teach audiences how to communicate with more purpose, power and impact. Jeff was an interesting guest, speaking on a topic that I find highly fascinating and very relevant to both the business world and personal transformation. This was very interesting conversation, and I’d love to have Jeff back again to delve into deep topic. I know listeners will find great value in this episode, so be sure not to miss it!

Some topics discussed in this episode include:

  • How Jeff became interested in neuroscience and its applications in professional and personal transformation.

  • How leaders can build trust, and the different types of trust that exist.

  • How the brain's default setting is self-preservation mode, and how that affects our ability to lead and thrive in uncertain times.

  • And much, much more…

After being the first person in his blue-collar family to graduate from college, Jeff spent his corporate career in Biotechnology where he led several product launches for genetic cancer therapies. One of those therapies was for brain cancer. It was here that Jeff discovered the power of neuroscience and the fact that no one he knew in corporate America really understood how the brain worked, otherwise they wouldn’t do sales and marketing and coaching the way it was currently being done. For his expertise, Jeff has been featured in Forbes and Sales & Marketing Management Magazine. He is also a featured Sales & Marketing Course Author and Thought Leader on LinkedIn Learning.
