About this Episode:
In this episode of the Transformative Leader Podcast, I’m happy to bring you a conversation with writer and leadership coach, Lisa Fabrega, about why and how we self-sabotage and create obstacles to our success and fulfillment, and how we can finally unleash our inner potential to thrive and grow. Lisa helps ambitious people (especially women) expand their capacity to handle more growth, wealth & success. For more than ten years, she has helped entrepreneurs, corporate executives, Academy Award nominees and Nobel Prize candidates break through boundaries that have been holding them back from their next level. Her signature approach enables clients to reach their highest levels of success and impact.
Lisa Fabrega has a simple philosophy—every time you hold back, self-sabotage, and keep yourself from stepping into the leadership you know you were born to embody, you are affecting the fate of the world, because you are removing a key player that assists in its evolution—YOU. If you know you’re here to do something big in the world, but for reasons you can’t explain, aren’t quite doing it the way you want to, that’s where Lisa comes in. The aim of her coaching is to help her client release all of the things that are holding them back from stepping into the next level of their leadership and ignite the spark that will help them unleash their revolution.
Those of you familiar with my work will recognize Lisa’s philosophy as identical to the fundamental principles behind the Transformative Leader, namely that hidden saboteurs—limiting beliefs and habits—hold us back from achieving the success and fulfillment we are truly capable of. In that sense, I definitely consider her a kindred spirit. She recognizes that, even when we have the training and skills we need, we hold ourselves back, out of fear of success, impostor syndrome, or something else, and this is exactly what Lisa helps clients identify and move out of the way.
This was a great conversation with a fascinating and powerful guest, and I hope you’ll give this episode a listen!
Some topics discussed in this episode include:
How Lisa discovered her passion for helping others unlock their potential early in life, starting in dictator controlled Panama.
Why expanding our capacity for growth and success is necessary as we move to the next levels of leadership and influence.
How we can recognize and address limiting beliefs, which are often invisible, in ourselves and in our coaching clients.
Six main areas in which we tend to hold ourselves back, and how to address each area.
And much, much more…
Lisa Fabrega is a leader and coach who has fought personal challenges to connect with her life purpose and financial growth. She gives high performing women (and men) the tools to understand the obstacles that they face within their professional and personal lives, push them aside and drive their empires and inner selves to unimaginable heights. Lisa focuses on what she calls "capacity" (in all forms including financial) and shows people how to use it best, and has addressed thousands of people both on stage as a keynote speaker. She appeared on podcasts including The Unmistakable Creative, Her Rules Radio and Tell Me A Story with Debra Silverman. She’s also been featured on CNN, Yahoo! News and The Huffington Post.
