In this episode of the Transformative Leader Podcast, I’m happy to bring you a conversation with author, Scrum trainer, and CEO of Scrum Colombia, Fabian Schwartz about the principles of Scrum and how they can be applied to create teams that work effectively to produce extraordinary results. His new book, Your Scrum Playbook: It's Not Chess, It's Poker, is a highly informative resource that can be used as almost a classroom textbook to teach Scrum. It presents both the essential culture and building blocks for Scrum in layman’s language, with case studies and stories that show Scrum used in a variety of settings, revealing it as a simple method to supercharge value for all stakeholders.

Fabian has more than 20 years of experience in the tech sector, and has served in many roles in the IT industry, including developer, tester, trainer, project and program manager. As a traditional project management convert turned Scrum Trainer and Professor of Agile Project Management, he has reached more than 30,000 people and has worked with companies of any size from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. Of particular note, Fabian has been a pioneer of using Scrum outside of the technology sector.

Fabian has more than 17 years of experience in the tech sector. He has served in many roles in the IT industry, including developer, tester, trainer, project and program manager. Over the past 9 years, he has also grown from being an early adopter of agile to becoming a Certified Scrum Profesional (CSP) and public speaker. He has done significant training, coaching and mentoring in different areas of agile development and project management. He is passionate about helping his clients to achieve their goals and improve their performance by leveraging agile approaches.
