FAQs

Do we have to start the visioning and strategic planning from scratch or can we build on what we already have?

The starting point for the visioning and strategic planning process is what you have in place already. In some cases, Amir and the client jointly decide that starting off fresh is the best choice. In most cases, however, much of the work that has already gone into envisioning the future and creating the plans for bringing it about are taken into account during the process.

Do you typically start leadership development work at the top or the middle of the organization?

Generally, Amir likes to introduce the ideas and distinctions he brings first to leaders at the top of the organization. However, he finds it most effective to work with various levels of the organization in parallel. This is so that leaders in the middle are not just waiting for their bosses to be enlightened, but instead they begin to take the initiative to develop their capability and increase their influence.

How much access will I have to Amir when I engage him as my Executive Coach?

Amir offers different packages with varying levels of access. The higher your level of responsibility, the more access to Amir we recommend you have. Typically, C-Level Leaders engage Amir at the highest level of access, which means they not only have their regular meetings every other week, but have unlimited access to Amir by email and can initiate short calls between meetings. They can also request that Amir attend certain meetings to observe them in action and provide feedback and perspective.

How long is the typical engagement?

Given the breadth and depth of the work that needs to be done to bring about a sustainable shift in the capability and culture of an organization, when C-Level leaders engage us, the length of the engagement starts at 6 months and is often renewed. Amir's goal is to work himself out of a job "as fast as possible but not faster!" This means that Amir will work with you to sunset the relationship in a way that leaves your organization self-sufficient and moving forward after the engagement is over. Sometimes that only takes 6 months, but we have had clients who have engaged us for 2.5 years and saw significant value in doing so.
